Baptist High School 1 & 2, Saki, the first secondary school in Oke-Ogun, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, held its annual Valedictory Service in honour of the graduating Class of 2026. The colourful ceremony brought together students, parents, old students, invited guests, staff, and well-wishers in a joyous celebration of the graduating class.
The event featured thanksgiving, inspiring exhortations, goodwill messages, prayers, and words of encouragement to the graduands as they prepare to embark on the next phase of their academic and life journey. Speakers at the occasion admonished the students to remain disciplined, uphold the values of integrity and excellence, be good ambassadors of their alma mater, and continue to pursue success through hard work and the fear of God. Special prayers were also offered for God’s guidance, protection, and favour upon the graduating students.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to deserving students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance, exemplary character, leadership, discipline, and sporting excellence. In keeping with the school’s long-standing tradition of celebrating excellence, the awards were sponsored by the school, the Baptist High School Old Students Association, alumni sets, and other distinguished individuals who remain committed to giving back to their alma mater and encouraging excellence among students.
The occasion was graced by the National President of the Baptist High School Old Students Association, accompanied by members of the National Executive Council, alongside parents, guardians, friends of the school, and a large gathering of well-wishers whose presence added colour and significance to the event.
The Management of Baptist High School 1 & 2 expressed sincere appreciation to all alumni, parents, donors, and supporters whose contributions continue to strengthen the school’s tradition of academic excellence and character development.
